CJ 엔터테인먼트가 tvN 을 통해서 진행한 약 두달 간의 치열한 오디션 프로그램.
<코리아 갓 탤런트> 시즌 2 에서 애니메이션 크루가 결승까지 진출하여 3위라는 놀라운 성과를 거두었다. <코리아 갓 탤런트>는 세명의 심사위원과 대국민 문자투표로 순위가 결정되는 만큼 매 무대마다 새로운 기획과 안무로 놀라움을 선사해야 하는 매우 까다로운 오디션 프로그램이었지만, 일반 대중들에게 ‘애니메이션 크루’를 알리는 데 성공한 프로그램이기도 하다.
<Korea’s Got Talent> is the cable TV show produced by tvN, which is run by CJ Entertainment.
Animation Crew participated in this audition TV show and got the 3rd prize in final. Since every single stage required new performance with new concept in order to go up to the next round, Animation Crew had to spend whole two months for this TV show. Its execution was difficult, but it definitely contributed to the better recognition of Animation Crew to the public.

서울 예선은 중앙대학교의 중앙 문화예술회관에서 열렸다.
애니메이션 크루의 컨셉은 코리아 갓 탤런트를 접수하러 서울에 갓 상경한 촌스러운 댄서들이었다. 본 공연 전에 촬영한 컨셉 영상은 우리의 컨셉을 좀 더 강력하게 만들어 주었고, 결국 반전의 묘미를 만들어 내는데 결정적인 역할을 했다.
The preliminary was held in Jungang University in Seoul. Animation Crew’s concept was country guys who just arrived in Seoul for the audition. A short video footage before our performance was pretty impressive enough to make all audiences believe we were all from country sides. It was pretty obvious that all audience were astonished at their professional dancing for their looks.
이 공연은 [일렉트릭 하모니], [벙커] 두 팀과 36시간 만에 만들어진 콜라보 공연이었다.
이 공연의 컨셉은 버려진 로봇의 감정. 콜라보레이션 팀이 발표된 당일 최초 컨셉과 음악을 선정했으며, 다음 날 아침 미팅을 하면서 컨셉이 변경되었다. 오후 다섯시 부터는 애니메이션 크루 멤버인 Woota 의 음악 믹싱 작업이 시작되었고, 나머지 멤버들은 댄서와 실제 로봇의 동작을 구상. 그렇게 대략 여덟 시간 만에 공연의 윤곽이 잡혔다. 공연 당일, 장진 감독으로부터 ‘코리아 갓 탤런트에서 최고의 시너지가 나왔다. 소름돋는 공연이었다’는 호평을 받았다. 그 덕분에 애니메이션 크루는 본선 무대에 오를 수 있는 21개 팀에 들게 되었다. 비록 같이 한 모든 팀이 본선에 오르지는 못했지만, 그들과의 콜라보레이션은 잊지 못할 경험이었다.
This performance was a collaboration work with two other teams [Electric Harmony] and [Bunker], which was made only for 36 hours with a concept ‘Feeling of Abandoned Robots’. Animation crew chose the music and the concept right after the collaboration announcement, and Woota, Animation Crew member, mixed the music and other members choreographed the piece. It took only 8 hours for them to make a whole outline of the performance, which was very amazing. The performance was successful and one of the judges, Director Jang Jin, said ”This is one of the greatest performance I’ve ever seen with amazing synergy. Can you see my goose bumps?” Unlike the other two teams, Animation Crew could go to the next round TOP 21. And it was unforgettable collaboration experience for all Animation Crew members.
여러번의 회의 끝에 잡힌 컨셉은 ‘페인팅 스토리’
화가인 염동균 작가님과의 콜레보레이션이 새로운 도전이었던 것은 물론이고, 음악과 안무도 수십번이나 교체했던 매우 우여곡절이 많은 공연이었다. 컨셉은 애니메이션 크루 멤버들이 2D 에서 3D 로 변하면서 관객들에게 반전을 주는 것이었는데, 생방송 무대의 관객들과 TV 시청자들을 동시에 상대해야 했기에 만만치 않은 작업이었다. 가능성 여부가 불투명한 상황. 애니메이션 크루는 컨셉이 실패해도 멋진 무대를 만들기 위해 안무에 혼신을 다했다. 그리고 공연 당일 날, 그들의 컨셉은 200% 적중했고 현장과 TV를 통해 놀란 관객들의 모습이 잡혔다. 신청자들의 압도적인 문자 투표 1위로, 심사위원의 선택과 상관없이 파이널에 진출하게 되었다.
The concept of this performance was ‘Painting Story’, the collaboration with a painter. It was very challenging and difficult, so they had to change the dancing and music many times. The most important part of the performance was that all animation crew members poped up from the background. However nobody could be sure of satisfying the audiences and TV viewers at the same time. All that Animation Crew could do is just making a perfect dance so we practiced especially a lot. Finally, their performance was very successful so they got the most votes from the viewers. Regardless of the judges’ opinions, we could go to the final!
결승 무대의 컨셉은 ‘아버지’였다.
김광석의 노래 ‘어느 60대 노부부 이야기’에 맞춰 애니메이션 크루 멤버들이 노래에 맞게 분장하며 춤을 췄다. 신나는 댄스 뮤직에 맞춘 춤을 기대했을 관객들에게는 또 하나의 반전의 무대였다. 그 도전의 결과로 애니메이션 크루는 3위라는 영광스러운 결과를 얻게 되었고 더욱 도전적이고 열정적인 팀으로 거듭날 수 있었다.
The concept of the final stage was ‘My Dad’. They disguised themselves with the characters in the music ‘The Story of 60′s Marriage Couple’ by Kim Gwangseok, a very famous Korean singer who died at his young age years ago. It was another unexpected performance for the audiences, who expected fast dance with bright music. They ended up getting 3rd prize in this final stage.
